We don’t often give Adie a pacifier, but when we do, we also insinuate Iowa pride.

The look she’s shooting me with baby daggers relates to my not nursing her on a constant basis. I think today is a cluster feeding day. That means having a very alert and hungry newborn.

Back to the nursies.

Aww, I hope you’re not giving up “80” in favor of letters. I love that someone had the guts to have a numerically-nicknamed child. It’s liking climbing Everest … I wouldn’t be able to do it, but I’m thrilled that others are courageous enough to do so and then let me live vicariously through it.

I hope the land of New Babyhood is treating you well. Can’t wait to read more parts of the birth story.

P.S. I can’t remember if you’ve said in the past or not … do you guys plan on 80/Adie eventually having a sequel or will she be a stand-alone? (Nothing like having a merely weeks-old child and already being asked if you’ll do it again!! 🙂

I consider 80 and Adie to be interchangeable. Certainly, I’ll keep up the numerical form.

We’d talked about just having one, but that inevitably other people who say that end up having more. I think it’ll depend a great deal on where we’re living, and what kind of social group she’ll have or not have to supplement her social needs.

Based on pregnancy and birth, I’d definitely have another. I could do this professionally.
