I totally gave Jason an emo haircut.

IMG_8377.JPG

Somehow, with no professional training, I managed to give Jason this rad emo haircut. Can’t you see the pain dripping down from his bangs?

Ultimately, he decided it was not a look he particularly wanted to rock, but it was fun.

Too bad I effed it up right after I took this picture. Oops. He’ll just have to use gel until it grows out a bit.

Whoooooo’s Not Evil?

Also from the same evening, this is a little game I like to play called “Who’s Not Evil?”

Not evil!

There are varying degrees of evil in this photo, but it’s ok, see, because E is wearing magical armwarmers.

More gushing about Stephanie’s genes

I finally got film back from my trek to Iowa and my first meeting with Sir Isaac Alexander.*

I was insanely pleased with the photographs I took of Stephanie and her loinfruit. So, so immensely pleased that I’m posting them. Even though they’re a Flickr set. They make my ovaries tingle.

*Dude, is it ok if I use babies’ names online? I mean, who’s going to google him? Santa?

Festivus is for the rest of GSLIS

Congratulations to Stephanie! She’s a mom!

I don’t have any new-baby photos, but I do have the recently (like still dripping wet) photos I finally developed of her in October. Click on the photo for a few more. You’ll eventually be able to see the creme de la creme in the gallery, but I have to finish the semester first.

Last night was the long awaited Festivus/Glogg party. It was really quite nice. Enough people to have lots of coversations to choose from,
but not so many that the place got wrecked. And Angie brought a sippy cup, so there were no spills.

Check out the Flickr set, complete with Festivus pole, grievances, and feats of strength. (You can see the results of the sit-and-reach in one of the photos.)

This picture is horribly outdated!

You know who’s great? Jason.

You may think, “I already knew she felt that way”, but I had forgotten just how having a good, solid person on your team can be great.

Like, when you got the time wrong for the opening of the movie theater, and need them to go pick up HP tickets …

Or being late for class, and them driving you so you don’t miss your group (effing) project meeting.

Or when they go back to the movie theater A SECOND TIME to get the rest of the tickets that you had promised people you’d get them.

THAT, that is what makes you feel loved. Loved, and a bit guilty.

Stephanie Alexander is pregant/famous

As I said earlier, I won the teeshirt contest, and now this awesome graphic is going to be spread thusly. If there’s anyone who would like one, here’s the order form!

this not this

The price is $13 per shirt, in black, brown, charcoal, red, navy, and kelly green (with white ink). There are also sweet french cut/fitted tees for $16 each in black, brown, charcoal in white ink and light pink and light blue with black ink.

Here’s me in last year’s shirt. It’s a french cut brown with white ink:

This one’s a large, so think big when choosing a size.

Orders are due by Nov 8 (what?! ah!) If you don’t have the time or discipline to get a check in the mail, or want me to pick up your shirt so you don’t pay shipping, email me at sundaykofax (at) gmail.com. We’ll work something out. Also, I know they buy extra shirts, so if you’re really inept, you might get lucky when you think about this in three months and then spend 45 minutes googling trying to remember where you read this.
Congrats to Stephanie,
for being featured in the Daily Q&A on the NANOWRIMO website! Check the lower left-hand side of the page.

She used the photo I took of her, too. Props all around! A rubber chicken for you! A hairspray-covered mirror for me!
