We’re heading to Iowa in July, so Adie and I are reading “A Thousand Acres”, by Jane Smiley. This works out well, since I’m interviewing her in September.
thats awesome. I wanna read the interview when you are done! Let me know when you make it to Iowa and if you can fit one more visit in! I would love to meet Adie, and your husband…and you know, congratulate you in person!
Yes! Anyone is welcome to come to the farm to visit. We’ll be around the week before the 24th, and will definitely have weekday availability. The weekend will involve a bit more family time, but we still have some time to meet up with folks.
I read “Moo” during my first year in Illinois and laughed and laughed at all of the midwestern ag school humor which I wouldn’t have understood a year earlier.
I can’t tell you how much I love seeing her in this onesie. I would also love to see you at the farm so very much, but will be in Nashville then. I so want the farm commune we talked about with the little studio in the city!
I read “A Thousand Acres” in high school. It’s a great read and fun to compare to “King Lear”.
