Aw, damn! I almost sent you Winner of the National Book Award in your care package, but then I got greedy and kept it for myself. You should check it out… it’s about a public librarian in New England… and it’s hilarious!
I’ve actually read some of the authors, but none of these books. I can’t believe no one ever includes Sewer, Gas & Electric: The Public Works Trilogy by Matt Ruff. It’s hysterical and inventive and in certain places kind of scary, in a creepy kind of way. It will make you fall out of your chair laughing and that’s always a good thing. Man, I love reading.

Read one of the authors, none of the novels, Russell Banks is edgy.

Wow. I haven’t read a single one either. That is kinda crazy!
I haven’t read any of those books, but I have read Sewer, Gas & Electric. I second that recommendation.
I’m totally adding Sew, Gas and Electric to my GoodReads.
