K2, p2 ribbing for 3.5"
K in round (stockinette st) 3 rounds
Next row goes back and forth on one needle -
*Sl 1, p to end of row; sl 1 k to end of row* 13 rows
(15 stockinette st rows total, next row will start w/ p)
Shape heel
P12, p2tog, p1, turn
Sl1, k7, sl1, k1, psso, k1, turn
Sl1, p8, p2tog, p1, turn
Sl1, k9, sl1, k1, psso, k1, turn
Sl1, p10, p2tog, p1, turn
Sl1, k11, sl1, k1, psso, k1, turn
(14 sts on needle)
With right side facing, pick up and knit 10 sts. from along left side of heel.
K across 20 sts on other needle
Pick up and knit 10 sts from along right side of heel.
Split sts so that sock is bisected from heel to front. 7 heel sts on each needle, 10 front sts.
Begin foot rounds:
Round 1: K14, k2tog, k to end of needle; k11, sl1, k1, psso, k to end of needle.
Round 2: k all the way around
Round 3: K13, k2tog, k to end of needle; k11, sl1, k1, psso, k to end of needle. (An easy way to visually mark where to decrease is at one before the previous dec for the k2tog, and exactly at the previous dec for the psso)
Repeat until x sts are on each needle.
